Beer Fisheries is a family business spanning 3 generations and 40 years of local fishermen turned fishmongers. Currently employing four family members Father, Son and two brother-in-laws. All shellfish and fish are supplied by the three family owned fishing boats which are beached at Beer with the daily fresh fish being sold literally yards from the pebbled beach where they are landed.

The business is run seven days a week and the fishmongers is open from 8.30 in the morning until 4.30 in the afternoon in summer and the slightly later times of 9.0 to 3.30 in the afternoons in the winter months. All the locally caught available fish can be properly prepared, filleted, or scaled on request and you can nearly always see the days catch of lobster, crab or watch whelks being hand cooked and pickled on the premises within a few hours of being caught. Fresher seafood you could not hope to buy.

In addition the company will if required, deliver your order (minimum order values applies) to anywhere within 10 miles of Beer for a small fee and you can phone your orders, or check availability and reserve your choice on 01297 20297 during working hours.

For those interested in catching their own meals, Beer Fisheries operate regular all day fishing trips, or shorter mackeral runs, with all kit and bait supplied.
